I'm taking part in the 2023 Walk4Matt, a 100 mile walk around the Warwick canal ring or in my case crewing one of the 6, 10 berth support canal boats. My role is to provide cooked breakfasts, pack up for the walkers, bottle washer, domestic cleaner as well as ‘juggling’ 97 locks which the skipper, my husband Richard will be navigating through. Richard and I are part of a family team; son Alister & wife Rachel are the walkers.
As a team & part of the Foundation we are looking to raise £4,000 to help young who have suffered a life changing injury.
Thank you for your support. Sue xxx
The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport through its unique Get Busy Living centre in rural Leicestershire. The centre provides expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice to people suffering a life-changing injury. The centre’s doors were opened in 2018 by Founder and ex-England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Matt Hampson, who himself experienced a life-changing injury in 2005.
